Currently In Foster…
Meerkat
NEW ARRIVAL - We have had a very busy week here at Frenchie and Friends, with so many urgent requests for help. Meerkat is one of those precious souls. Sadly, he ended up in the pound in a very sorry state, clearly neglected and malnourished.
We put out an urgent plea for help, and one of our wonderful regular fosters stepped up without hesitation.
It’s still very early days, as Meerkat only arrived today, but we feel it’s important to share his journey from day one so you can see his full transformation as it unfolds.
He is currently receiving treatment for his ears, which are very itchy, and he will be visiting the vets near his foster home for a full health check. Tomorrow, foster mum is taking him shopping for a little retail therapy and a coat to help keep him warm, as he is currently very underweight.
Please keep an eye out and follow Meerkat’s journey with us. His makeover has only just begun
Porcupine
NEW ARRIVAL - Porcupine was an absolute star in the car. He loved meeting the family and took all the excitement, energy, cuddles, and kisses in his stride
He’s still showing a few puppy traits, including jumping on sofas and occasionally nipping at fingers and toes, but he’s been an absolute hit with the kids. He’s a lovely, gentle, cuddly boy.
He’s very good with other dogs and has already made friends on the block
All in all, Porcupine has already stolen hearts and is settling in beautifully
No applications at this stage please
Hedgehog
NEW ARRIVAL - Please give a gentle welcome to another newbie who arrived into rescue this weekend.
Sadly he was another urgent request for help as he found himself in the pound with no details or microchip and nobody came to claim him
Yet again, we put out an urgent plea for help, and one of our wonderful fosters came forward to foster him
This little lad arrived with nothing, not even a name but by the time he arrived into foster he had everything all thanks to our wonderful donations from you!
On his transport handover our lovely volunteer treated him to (probably first ever!) pup cup …it looks like he enjoyed it!!
His amazing foster mum called at pets at home for a few bits to make him feel welcome, she says he’s such a lovely sweet boy He needs plenty of care, decent food and love which I’m sure he’ll get in bucketloads
Watch this space for this little lad’s glow-up!
Capybara & Aardvark
NEW ARRIVALS - A beautiful pair of girlies have joined the clan this weekend, and they’re just so darling.
Their wonderful foster family have been slowly introducing them to their new fur brothers and sisters and they’ve been lapping up all the hugs and snuggles
These two beautiful girls are taking their time settling in and we can’t wait to see how they flourish
No applications at the moment please whilst they’re assessed in foster
Lemur
NEW ARRIVAL - Please give a warm F&FF welcome to the beautiful Lemur this little lovely joined us yesterday evening and she’s already making sure she gets alll the snuggles
Lovely Lemur met her new foster fur brother and although some initial gruff’s they are now playing and having the best time getting to know who’s boss!
Some first night accidents and this little one needs a bit of feeding up but she will have a vet trip this week. Enjoy getting to know your foster family lovely Lemur!!
No applications at this stage please whilst assessment made in foster.
Okapi
NEW ARRIVAL - This sweet girl came into our care yesterday and, despite everything being so new and overwhelming, she has taken it all in her stride. The world felt a little big at first, especially when she met foster dad. She tucked herself behind foster mum and let out a nervous bark , but it was clear she was just unsure rather than unkind.
With a little time, patience, and gentle reassurance, Okapi began to relax. By the evening, she had well and truly found her safe place, curled up close to foster mum, soaking up cuddles and comfort like she’d always belonged there.
Okapi has already shown us her playful side. She absolutely loves her toys, with squeaky balls topping the list, and she’s always up for a fun game of tug. Watching her confidence grow, even in such a short time, has been incredibly heartwarming.
She’ll need some TLC as she continues to settle and learn that she’s safe now, but she’s landed with a family who are more than ready to give her everything she needs to thrive.
Okapi is one of those special souls you just know is going to blossom with love and time. Definitely another one to watch flourish and glow

Eggnog
UPDATE 19/01/26 - This little man is an absolute dream and has been a real man about town while in foster.
He’s been to football matches, helped out at tennis practice, and even attempted to load the tennis ball trolley… or not, as the case may be
(But honestly, what dog could resist that many balls?!)
He’s got a few procedures coming up this week – including castration – so he’ll be resting next weekend. Safe to say he’s made the most of this one.
Keep going little man & we wish you lots of love & hugs for Friday.

Lumi
UPDATE 19/01/26 - Our dear Lumi has now moved to her adoption trial where she is having an absolute blast and wrapping everyone around her little paws already.
Her skin has improved vastly and we want to say a massive thank you to her foster family for all the effort they have put into this one.
We are looking forward to watching her continue to flourish in her forever home.
Sage & Onion
UPDATE 19/01/26 - Lets start with Sage: This snuggle pup has been in adoption trial for a week now and is doing great, she has definitely made herself at home
Has been enjoying her countryside walks sniffing all the farmers crops and is very good on the lead.
Love’s playing with her toys and the children, and lots of evening cuddles on the sofa.
Onion: Onion started his adoption trial on Saturday, he had a nice journey to his new home in his rather posh car seat on arrival home he met his new big brother out on a walk together.
Once indoors he decided to have a good sniff around the house and check his new pad out, then have a quick munch on some of his brothers chews ( well you’ve got to check everything out thoroughly ) And they had a lay on the sofa together and a run round the garden.
Koala
UPDATE 19/01/2026 - KOALA working from home
Due to the horrid weather conditions little Koala has decided Mum should work from home with a bit of help from Koala.
Koala says keep safe everyone and work from home if you can.
She is not one for this cold weather and much prefers being a lap warmer. :-)
Roly Poly
UPDATE 18/01/26 - Well hello there wonderful people! I do hope you’re having a smashing weekend. Thought I’d pop by and give you all my latest update.
I went to the doggy doctor on Friday and we’re on to the next stage in my healing regime. I am down to 2x weekly baths. I get to have some naked time now other than if it’s chilly or my foster parents are out. I am being weened off two lots of my medication.
I had to report back to the doggy doctor frequently and towards the end of February I will have to go in for the day to have deep tissue biopsies done to see if the nasty germs have finally gone.
In the meantime I’m going to continue being a character and causing as much mayhem as possible.
