Sandra

Founder & Trustee - Vet Liaison Lead

I live in West Sussex and am married with two daughters. My love of Frenchies started over 10 years ago when my first Frenchie Claude came into my life! Two years later we welcomed Claude’s half brother Remi into our home. Sadly we lost Remi in March 2020 after a very short illness, and left a huge hole in our family. We decided we needed to find a buddy for Claude, so Buddy joined our family in October 2020, followed by Herbie shortly after, who came into our rescue as 12 week old pup with a grade 4 heart murmur.

My family are super supportive of the many hours it takes to keep the rescue running. Sorting dogs into new homes, admin, events, checking in on dogs already in our care, paying invoices, speaking to vets, supporting foster families, the list is endless!  Seeing a dog come into rescue when they are broken, sad and sometimes in very bad health, go on to become a beloved member of the family, gain confidence and learn to trust again, is just the best feeling you can have, and makes the hard work worthwhile.

Chez

Founder & Trustee - Admin & IT Lead

Hi all, Chez here and just below is the better half, Jacqueline (Jacqui). We live in London/Kent and have done for many years. Jacqui has grown up children and a wonderful Granddaughter. We have 5 furry children. Three Rescue Frenchies, Harry, Willow and Maia and also a non-rescue Spud! We also have a beautiful cat Lullah. When we are not running round after them we both have full time jobs within the Police Service.

We have both grown up with animals all of our lives and got involved in rescue after losing our two older Staffies (Tilly & Spike) within 3 months of each other, both aged 14 at the time. The house seemed so quiet without them and we found a rescue to volunteer with, it started by helping to collect a dog and a bit of fostering (we failed three times) and progressed from there, we’ve fostered over 40 dogs and been involved in home checks, road trains, dog walks, fundraising and events.

As our love for helping grew so did our desire to do more. I (Chez) am now general rescue dogsbody doing a little of anything and everything and Jacqueline is our adoption support lead, all whilst putting up with me. To see the difference in the dogs that we help is so rewarding, seeing them loved and happy in their forever homes gives a feeling like no other. We’ve cried tears of sadness, but even more tears of joy.

We will continue to help for as long as we can and love working with this amazing team of people who we are proud to call our friends.

Natalie

Founder & Trustee - Foster Support Lead

I live by the seaside in Kent with my boyfriend,  a 3 legged, 1 eyed frenchie, a deaf frenchie cross and frenchie that truly believes he is a human, 2 cats, 1 rabbit and a cockatiel!!
I've always been mad for animals, I love them more than people. Since I was a child I've been into rescue, working in the local kennels for stray dogs from about 12 years old. My passion for animals took me to South Africa in 2012 and I was privileged enough to work with big cats of all species as a volunteer so my whole life has always revolved around animals.

I met Chez & Jacqueline through my full time job and we bonded through our love of animals and humour. I was then introduced to Sandra and Ross and the rest is history. Frenchie & Friends Foundation was born and I can honestly say these years since we established the charity have been full of joy, laughter, tears, heartbreak but most definitely friendship and a bond that I don't think we could ever break and that makes us an amazing team.
I know with our rescue the dogs will always come first and that's why Frenchie and Friends Foundation has my heart and soul.

Ross

Founder & Trustee - Events Lead

So after you get a house, married, have a couple of kids, estate car, the next thing you need is a dog!…….The wife didn’t think we would look after it and walk it, so to prove her wrong me and my daughters were up every Saturday and Sunday at the local RSPCA walking dogs and volunteering. Then we were told (by the wife) that we could get a dog. My Boycie is not a rescue and bought from a hobby breeder, but we met his mum and nan! Then I joined the Facebook pages…

I once read a post ‘if you can’t adopt, foster, if you can’t foster, volunteer, if you can’t volunteer, donate’ this post really stuck with me……Me: ‘Luv, can we adopt a dog?’ Wife: ‘No!’, ‘Can we foster?’ I asked, ‘No’ she said (she is lovely really), so volunteering, donating and raising funds became easy, there I was, standing on village greens, holding pots out to people, saying ‘give me your money’. Going on arranged walks and finding ways to generate money.

As a family, myself, my wife Natalie and my daughters Saffron and Belle have helped uplift, foster and help dogs on to their forever homes. We are also active on walks and at the events. I want to thank my best friend Boycie! Without him, I wouldn’t be doing all this, it’s the love of him that makes me want to help others. With the amount of love he rewards, others need what we have!

Jaggs

Amazing Admin - Social Media/Marketing Lead

Hi I’m Elizabeth or Jaggs as most know me. A HUGE animal lover that obviously inherited this from my parents. Growing up we had 15 dogs at one point, and my love of rescue dogs began when my parents took on a neighbours golden retriever, the majority of my childhood memories are with him by my side.

In adult life I desperately wanted to help animals in need, including taking on two ex-racehorses that were at risk. After having my own two dogs, a Rottweiler, and a boxer that we rescued, we fell in love with French Bulldogs and added one to our pack. We started fostering and helping with bulldog rescues shortly after. Our boxer thrived on being Nanna pig to them all until she passed of old age, I truly believe it gave her a second lease of life helping other dogs feel safe in her pack.

100s of fosters later we have 2 Frenchies and an English Bulldog who was a very poorly medical foster who we could never part with. We love helping with all parts of rescue, our niche is medical fosters, especially skin conditions. We also love helping with social media, marketing, admin and everything in between. Not only is it the most incredibly rewarding experience helping dogs with their second chance at life but we have made friends that have become family along the way.

Tabby

Amazing Admin - Foster & Adoption Support plus Transport Guru.

Based in West Sussex by the sea, I share my home with my partner, three French Bulldogs, and a cat who—despite the dog-heavy ratio—undoubtedly rules the house.

My journey with the breed began with Lucy, a retired breeding dog who strutted into our lives and changed everything. Frenchies weren’t originally my first choice, so I joined the Frenchie and Friends group to research and ask questions. That community led me to Cass, a Covid-surrender rescue who needed a home. Lucy’s laid-back style balanced Cass’s need for centre of attention perfectly, and a pack was formed.

I began volunteering on stalls for the charity and eventually tried my hand at fostering. However, when "Harry the Screamer" arrived and never left, I realized that fostering would quickly leave me overrun with dogs. To save my house from becoming a zoo, I transitioned into an Admin role. Now, I dedicate my time to supporting Frenchie and Friends behind the scenes, ensuring these wonderful dogs find the loving homes they deserve.

Jo

Amazing Admin - Foster Support & Social Media

I’m Jo and I live in Kent with my husband and daughter.

We began rescuing Frenchies during lockdown with Coco — our brave one-eyed girl who had been used for breeding. She was with us for 15 months before passing from cancer, and she’s the reason rescue became such an important part of our lives.

Our next rescue was another girl who’d also been bred from and found as a stray. She arrived with severe ear and eye issues, and after 18 months of love, we heartbreakingly discovered she had a brain tumour and lost her in 2023.

In August 2023, we welcomed Reg, our very own Frenchie & friends boy, who completely healed our hearts — and then Skye came along in November 2024 to make our little pack complete.

Rescue is now a true passion of mine. I’m honoured to be part of the Frenchie & Friends team, helping however I can through fostering when needed and supporting the team behind the scenes.

When I’m not working behind the scenes, you’ll usually find me with my horse, travelling, or skiing with my daughter.

Emma

Amazing Admin - Foster & Surrender Support

Hi my name is Emma and I live in Cheshire with my husband Chris and my 6 furry children.  Olive, Gracie and pearl who are pugs, Denzil and Darcy my chihuahuas and last but not least Lillie, my beautiful F&F adopted Frenchie.

I run my own horticultural business and work part time at a vets, which comes in handy with my gang!

I have been involved in rescue for about 25 years and had numerous fosters, usually pugs but then  Frenchies too! I’ve been helping f&f since 2023 after knowing chez for a number of years. I was honoured to be asked to take on a role within the rescue.

As admin I have initial contact with people who sadly have to surrender their frenchies and I love that we can try and help them and find their loved dogs, a wonderful home.

Chloe

Amazing Admin - Foster Support & General Admin

Hi I’m Chloe - one of the Essex girls in the team

I joined the team in August 2022, but my love for Frenchies goes all the way back to 2009 when I was 12 years old. I’ve grown up with the breed and completely fallen in love with their personalities, funny quirks, and huge hearts.

In 2020 when I moved out I finally got my first Frenchie of my own — my soulmate, Mabel who is my world. She’s the reason I became so passionate about helping other frenchies who need support and a second chance at life.

In June 2024, me and my partner drove to a vets in Dartford to collect F&FFs Pearl after she had been dumped there following a litter where her puppies became stuck and sadly passed away. When we arrived at the vets to collect her she was extremely underweight and quite poorly with aspiration pneumonia. She was scared of the world and unsure of everyone & everything.

With time, love, and lots of patience, Pearl slowly began to trust again. Today she’s the happiest, sweetest little girl, full of character and makes us laugh every day. After everything she went through, it was clear she wasn’t going anywhere… so she officially joined the clan.

Frenchies have been a huge part of my life and they always will be. I’m so proud to be part of a team that helps give them the future they all deserve.

Eloise

Amazing Admin - Foster Support, Social Media and Homecheck Lead.

Hello

I joined the Frenchie and Friends team in January 2025 after fostering my first dog in December. It was an emotional journey, as the dog I cared for was very poorly and sadly crossed the rainbow bridge.

The reason I chose to join the team is because the dedication and support they showed me as a foster were truly remarkable. Everything they did for Rocco was outstanding, and I’ll always be grateful for the way they cared for him.

I wanted to be part of this amazing charity so I can help support more dogs like Rocco, and be there for them the way the team was there for us.

SJ

Amazing Admin - Foster Support & Social Media

I live in Kent with my crazy northern fella and my two Frenchie boys who are my absolute world and the reason for my passion and love for the breed.

Rocco, our first Frenchie fur baby is a four year old loony who keeps us on our toes and then the wonderful F&FF blessed us with our rescue boy in August 2023, my big hearted softy Bentley. We knew two boys would be fun…and oh has it been, but we wouldn’t change it for the world!

After adopting Bentley, I volunteered to help with transport runs, home checks and joined the team at Paws in the Park for a fun day of fundraising (and giggles). This opened my eyes to the fabulous and selfless work of the F&FF team and sparked a true love for rescue.

In the year since joining the team, I’ve shed tears of both joy and sadness, but above all, I feel immense pride in being part of something truly special — a community that changes lives every single day.

Olivia

Amazing Admin - Foster Support & General Admin

Hi I am Olivia - Kent based joined in Feb 2025 (i think)

Knew of the charity as I had a Frenchie from my sister who couldn’t cope, was meant to be here a week, and he’s still with me 3+ years later, Patch my JRT was my dog, my one love, Frenchies were never a dogs i considered, i didn’t even want another dog.

Out and about and other dog walkers always told me about Natalie with the Frenchies. Speak to Natalie with the Frenchies. So after a little facebook nose i found the group. My initial day on the facebook group was seeing the 7 dwarves plea and it broke my heart. Thankfully they all had a foster home lined up.

I filled in my application, had my home check and i think within a week i was picking Frank up. Merle male who was initially handed over as having an issue with men, so as a single femal household, seemed the right fit. Sadly Frank didnt hate anyone, he was wired wrong and unpredictable with violent outbursts. Unfortunately for everyones safety he had to cross rainbow bridge. The support from the team made me want to know how i can help more, so asked if i could help in anyway down the line, to sign me up. Some months later i was drafted in.

Then, a week later after Frank, I was off to a kennel in Essex collecting Narla. My sweet potato gremlin. Came into our lives with no name or date or birth but had the kindest nature and fit in like she had always been here. She wasnt house trained, wet herself if she couldnt see me but never wanted for anything more than to be fed, loved and under a blankie or playing with her fur siblings having zoomies or creating mischief.  She was such a beautiful soul. When she had IVDD it was my 1st ever experience with the cruel disease, it was traumatic but we got her thru with conservative care and pain managment, something i would never have managed without the team and their support. For a few months she was building back up to tip top health when flare up two struck. I was broken, crate rest was stricter, she was limited in so many ways, as were the other dogs, she was the priority. It appeared she was starting to come back around again, until she had a fit, only subtle, but the team knew exactly what it was and gave their words of support with the reality of what was going to be the end result. My sweet potato Narla crossed rainbow bridge to be at peace, no more pain, no more limits, just freedom. Without the team, without the other dogs in foster needing support, i would have likely not been here today to write this bio.

The dogs that come into the rescue that are cross checked to find the most suitable humans to give them the best chance at life again and is something i am so proud to be a part of. This breed is something that i never had in my crosshairs but the dogs and the team are a very intergral part of my life now. While i am 1 dog at a time leading on at the moment, due to a cheeky rugby injury, i hope my contribution helps in some way, and i really do feel a part of something so special.

I’m based in South London and work at Aspen Vets (absolutely love my job), I have a great family who I enjoy spending time with when I am not doing everything dog related.

I met Chez & Jacqueline (the crazy Frenchie ladies) whilst working and felt this a worthwhile rescue to be part of. I now do all sorts including supporting foster families, home checking, road trains, events and fundraising. Oh and of course being on hand for advice and a hand rear foster whenever the need arises :-)

Hi, I'm Ashleigh based in Cheshire with my Partner and Baby Bear (Frenchie but very much my child)

Bear is responsible for my initial love of the breed, helping me through some tough times and after finding Frenchie & Friends I never looked back.

Any way that I can help I am happy to get stuck in, road trains, home checks and foster Included, in the hope I can make a small difference to help these wonderful dogs find their forever’s and I'm very proud to be part of this incredible team.

Karen D

Amazing Admin - Foster Support & General Admin

Hi I am Karen I live in Essex with my 2 fur babies both rescue girls Winnie & Waffle.

Winnie has suffered with IVDD, aspirational pneumonia and has a heart murmur. But you would never know it if you saw her chasing squirrels at the woods near my home. I got Waffle at 7 months from an overcrowding situation, her and Winnie were not friends initially but they are sassy soul sisters now. Waffle had ingrowing eyelashes and needed boas on her nostrils but she is a poppet.

I love helping Frenchie & Friends with these beautiful dogs & every one of them touches my heart.

I work as an executive assistant and also help my elderly parents. I love travelling, reading, running and of course Frenchies!
